Physico-chemical analyses:
assessing your products and gas samples

The UTAC physico-chemical laboratory provides support for engineering applications in the environmental pollution field by performing physico-chemical analyses of products and gas samples. Specialising in automotive pollution, we also serve the oil industry, manufacturing sector, etc.

Continuously evolving analytical techniques

With a view to the continuous improvement of our measurement techniques, we participate in the following groups :
  • ENR – Non-Regulated Emissions Group (Institut Français du Pétrole, PSA Peugeot-Citroën, Renault, Moteur Moderne and UTAC).
  • Organic sub-group ST-G-10A of Institute of Petroleum IP/Great Britain (European manufacturers, petroleum manufacturers, engine research and development institutes and independent laboratories).

Actively contributing to the development of regulations

Sampling of exhaust gases

Our involvement begins prior to the drafting of regulatory texts concerning :

  • Measurement of particles from exhaust gases.
  • Measurement of gases produced by the combustion of organic materials and fabrics used in bus and refrigerated transport vehicles.

A top-quality service

Our analytical methods have been awarded ISO 17025 certification by COFRAC (French Accreditation Committee).

We organise annual Round robin test of the analysis of non-regulated pollutants found in vehicle exhaust gases. These tests guarantee the reliability of results.
