Lighting and signalling

Definition Services Facilities

Vision and visibility play key roles in motor vehicle safety. UTAC is involved at all levels: approval, inspection, competitive research, testing, specifications, etc.

So what exactly do lighting and signalling consist of ?

From a safety perspective, vehicle lighting and signalling improve the driver’s view and the detection of the vehicle by other road users, regardless of the climatic conditions. Headlamps and signalling lights are thus key design parameters. The driver’s view also depends on other equipment fitted to the vehicle : wipers, defroster, etc.
