UTAC is an internationally recognised test, certification and training organisation. UTAC has been accredited by many bodies and so you can have confidence in our expertise and impartiality.

UTAC is accredited by COFRAC as a test laboratory meeting the requirements of ISO 17025.

This confirms that UTAC complies with ISO 17025 for :

• Technical expertise
• Management system, to ensure the long-term validity and coherence of test and calibration results.

The requirements for the management system are defined in ISO 17025 and drawn up in a form appropriate for laboratory activities.

UTAC is also the official laboratory for EuroNCAP which is the European body responsible for assessing vehicle safety. UTAC, therefore, carries out these tests in its own laboratories.

• UTAC is the ISO 17021 certification body accredited by COFRAC.

• UTAC is recognised as a certification body by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF)

The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) is an ad hoc working group of European and American automotive manufacturers and their respective trade associations. It was set up to harmonise manufacturers’ quality system requirements and associated third party practices.

UTAC is officially designated by the French authorities to the European Commission to perform all vehicle and equipment approval tests, under European directives. UTAC is also responsible for monitoring the conformity of production.

UTAC is also designated by the United Nations to perform the tests required by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

Japan, Taiwan and Australia have appointed UTAC to perform tests under their national regulations.

UTAC is an approved training body.
