Since the summer of 2024, UTAC Italy has been awarded ISO 17020 accreditation, an international standard that ensures the competence, impartiality, and consistency of inspection bodies’ processes.
As part of our expansion strategy, Italy was selected as a key market to strengthen our presence and establish a more flexible operational base. Achieving ISO 17020 accreditation was a crucial step toward obtaining the STA (Sweden), NSAI (Ireland), and RDW (Netherlands) designations. Thanks to a sustained collective effort, UTAC successfully secured all three designations by October.
“The process has involved a great deal of coordination and hard work from the entire team, as we’ve worked closely with Italian authorities to familiarize ourselves with their systems and requirements”, explains Christian Giottoli, Italy Technical Director at UTAC. “After months of effort, we managed to schedule an audit, and within less than a month, we received official notification. By the end of July, we were granted full ISO 17020 accreditation—a major achievement that sets the foundation for further growth.” Christian Giottoli, Technical Director of UTAC Italy.
These successes represent a major step forward in our ambition for international growth.
