Design & development of proving grounds
Building on the experience gained from our own international facilities (France, UK, Finland, US, Morocco, China), we support our clients from needs assessment through to the detailed design of tracks and laboratories. Our teams incorporate regulatory requirements, international safety protocols, and market-specific needs into every project.
Commissioning & operational management
Beyond construction, UTAC provides expertise in commissioning and day-to-day operations: equipment selection and integration, training of local teams, and implementation of quality and safety processes. We also ensure that testing activities are carried out in compliance with international standards (Euro NCAP, UN/EU regulations) while guaranteeing efficient infrastructure management.

Case Study
UTAC Proving Ground Oued Zem (Morocco)
In 2023, UTAC, in partnership with FEV, inaugurated a new proving ground in Oued Zem, Morocco.
Covering 600 hectares, this site is the first of its kind in Africa and provides a wide range of tracks for testing conventional, electric, and hybrid vehicles, as well as ADAS and autonomous driving systems.
UTAC’s contribution included:
Design & Development of the infrastructure (varied tracks, braking zones, special surfaces, high-speed circuits), all compliant with European and international standards.
Operational Setup, including test equipment definition, quality and safety processes, and training of local teams.
Integration of Global Expertise, with direct links to our European centers to ensure services aligned with UTAC’s international standards.
Today, this proving ground offers OEMs and suppliers a strategic alternative in Africa, combining favorable climatic conditions, international accessibility, and UTAC’s recognized quality in vehicle testing.
