Market Surveillance, a regulatory context
The European automotive regulation, in particular Regulation (EU) 2018/858, requires market surveillance to ensure that vehicles and automotive components comply with the applicable safety and environmental requirements.
The market surveillance authorities of the Member States draw up a surveillance plan in consultation with the European Commission. This includes the performance of tests relating to the applicable regulations.
UTAC, a technical service and ISO 17025 certified laboratory, is able to respond to market surveillance authorities wishing to carry out tests on vehicles and components.
