Social

At UTAC, people are at the heart of everything we do: their talent, innovation, and well-being drive us forward. We’re committed to building a safe, inclusive workplace and strengthening ties with our communities to be a responsible and trusted neighbour.

Health, Safety, and Wellness first

At UTAC, we care about people as well as the expertise and innovation they bring. We want to create a safe and diverse workplace, and to continue to connect with our communities to ensure we are a responsible neighbour.

The Group has made a significant investment in “Health and Safety training” for managers. This initiative is a clear demonstration of our long-standing commitment to fostering a safe and healthy working environment for all our colleagues.

Over the past two years, UTAC has been implementing a program to train its managers in Health & Safety. This proactive approach reflects our dedication to risk prevention and underlines our determination to make safety a top priority every day. By strengthening the skills and awareness of our teams, we are building a safety culture across all levels of the organisation.

The Four Pillars of Wellbeing

Social Engagement

We foster a culture of connection and inclusion by creating opportunities for colleagues to come together, whether through seasonal celebrations, charity events, or local initiatives.

Physical Health

We actively promote physical wellbeing through accessible activities and infrastructure. Initiatives include walking clubs, charity walks, and on-site recreational spaces.

Financial Security

We support our colleagues’ financial wellbeing by offering access to savings platforms like MediCash and Perkz in the UK. These benefits are communicated regularly to ensure everyone can take advantage of the resources available to them.

Mental Wellness

Mental health is a priority at UTAC. We have established mental health first aider programmes in the UK and France, and implemented wellbeing policies that include stress management risk assessments and wellness action plans. These initiatives aim to proactively support mental health and create a psychologically safe workplace.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

We are committed to encouraging equity, diversity and inclusion among our teams, recognising the importance of a diverse workforce in driving success. Our ambition is for our teams to be truly representative of all sections of society and our customers, and for each colleague to feel respected and able to give their best.

We are convinced that diversity is an asset and that the future is built by giving everyone equal opportunities to succeed.

Empowering Inclusion, empowering Women at UTAC

Every March 8, the world celebrates International Women’s Day, and at UTAC, we go all in. Across our global sites, we host vibrant events and join industry-wide celebrations to spotlight the achievements of women and champion gender equality in the automotive sector. From internal roundtables to representing UTAC at the SMMT’s automotive sector event, we’re creating space for real conversations and real change.

Our goal? To amplify women’s voices, attract more female talent, and ensure representation at every level of our organisation. Through inspiring testimonials, hands-on workshops, and open dialogue, we’re building a workplace where everyone can thrive.

But we don’t stop there because at UTAC, diversity drives innovation and International Women’s Day is just one of the many ways we’re accelerating toward a more inclusive future.

The SMMT event embodied this year’s theme by addressing gender disparity through powerful panels and real-world case studies. The interactive workshops transformed ideas into action, proving that progress is possible.”

Supply Chain

Our suppliers are an important part of our business continuity and our sustainability ambition. We have analysed our procurement across the Group and have started to engage with our suppliers on sustainable procurement, including the management of Scope 3 carbon data with the view to reduce our carbon footprint.

UTAC in the Community – Local and Global Engagement

At UTAC, each of our global sites is deeply committed to supporting their local communities in meaningful ways. We are dedicated to making a positive impact in our local communities through meaningful support and fundraising initiatives. We inspire our colleagues to champion causes close to their hearts and actively engage with schools and universities to promote careers in the automotive industry.

With the backing of the “Société des Ingénieurs de l’Automobile (SIA)” and our sponsor partners, we proudly organize the annual UTAC Challenge, a competition for European universities and engineering schools to design innovative mobility solutions.
