Powering up your vehicle’s performance

Traction Specialists

Emerging traction systems, growing vehicle electrification, and cutting-edge energy sources are driving manufacturers to create cleaner, greener products that address tomorro’s mobility challenges.

Backed by decades of internationally recognized expertise in powertrain development and type-approval testing, we support you at our labs in France and the UK.

What we offer

Versatile, High-Efficiency Test Facilities

Our powertrain test benches blend engineering expertise, proven methods, and cutting-edge technology to handle a wide range of products from motors and drivetrains to hybrid systems, clutches, and torque converters. This versatility significantly shortens development cycles. Controlled, repeatable testing on our benches delivers top-tier validation before vehicles hit the track or public roads.

Numerous innovative testing possibilities

Our powertrain test bench systems are modular, offering maximum flexibility to implement solutions for different test scenarios. They can be used for prepared powertrain or whole vehicle testing and offer a full range of tests. On our engine test benches, we still provide a range of calibration, development, durability, and characterisation tests for conventional engines. We therefore offer test facilities ideally suited to the development of hybrid and electric transmission systems.

At UTAC, we are the experts, no matter the propulsion. From internal combustion to electric and hybrid systems, our knowledge, facilities, and experience ensure world-class testing and development at every stage.
