Hankook Tire Extends UTAC Winter Testing Partnership in Finland

Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook Tire, one of the world’s largest tyre producers, has renewed and extended its long-term partnership with UTAC for winter testing at the Mellatracks proving ground in Ivalo, Finland. 

Years ago, Hankook established its dedicated Hankook Technotrac winter testing facility at the site, featuring specialized tracks and infrastructure. With the previous agreement set to expire later this year, both companies have signed an early long-term extension . The agreement was formalized by Yongchul Choi, Vice President and Head of ETC at Hankook, and Janne Seurujärvi, Managing Director of UTAC Finland.

The renewed partnership also includes expansion of the existing facilities, with larger workshop, office, and warehouse spaces to support increased testing activities and accommodate more staff and visitors.

This extension reinforces the strong collaboration between Hankook and UTAC and their shared commitment to excellence in tyre testing and innovation.
