United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, Amy Murdock, Engineer, and Natalia Adamson, Senior Test Engineer, represented UTAC at two separate events this year.
Amy took part in the “International Women and Allies Day” event, organized by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and sponsored by Oaklin. The event brought together women and their allies from across the sector to discuss ways to promote gender equality in engineering.
Natalia participated in an event organized by Enginuity as part of the “365 Faces of STEM” campaign, which highlights women and their allies who are shaping the future of STEM.
United States
A presentation will spotlight Haven Homes of Detroit, an organisation recommended by a relative of one of our US Senior Leadership team members and which supports women recovering from human trafficking, offering safety and the chance to rebuild their lives. There is also an opportunity for donations and/or volunteerism to help support this worthy cause.
Finland
Our Finnish teams have once again mobilised with generosity. Naisten Linja runs an annual International Women’s Day campaign to support women and girls who have experienced violence. Donations help provide professional support services, violence‑prevention programs and tools for recovery and empowerment.
France
In France, the teams have chosen to extend its International Women’s Day invitation to all colleagues, women and men alike. Promoting genuine, lasting equality is only possible when everyone is involved, and inclusion is at the heart of this year’s theme.
Julie Scarpa introduce the local association Un Abri pour la vie (A shelter for life), supporting women in situations of extreme vulnerability, offering protection from danger, personal and social support and resources to help them rebuild their lives.
China
In China, our colleagues celebrated International Women’s Day with a creative gathering. They also collected donations in support of the China Women’s Development Foundation.
