UTAC Joins the European PrEVent Project to Strengthen E-Mobility Cybersecurity
We are proud to announce that UTAC contributes to PrEVent, a new Horizon Europe project dedicated to strengthening cybersecurity and resilience across the e-mobility ecosystem.
We are proud to announce that UTAC contributes to PrEVent, a new Horizon Europe project dedicated to strengthening cybersecurity and resilience across the e-mobility ecosystem.
As electric mobility becomes increasingly connected, the attack surface is expanding — from electric vehicles and charging stations to grid infrastructure and backend platforms. Ensuring the cybersecurity and resilience of this entire ecosystem is therefore becoming essential.
PrEVent aims to establish Europe’s first end-to-end cybersecurity framework for the e-mobility ecosystem, providing a scalable, standards-based architecture aligned with key regulatory and industry requirements, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), NIS2 and ISO/SAE 21434. The project is designed to end in October 2029.
As a project partner, UTAC leads Work Package 5 (WP5), dedicated to the development of a comprehensive cybersecurity testing framework, co-designed verification and certification methods, as well as laboratory-based testing and validation.
Building on its expertise in vehicle testing, cybersecurity and homologation, UTAC will contribute to defining common testing methodologies and validating PrEVent innovations through rigorous laboratory trials, penetration testing and representative testing environments.
The solutions developed within PrEVent will ultimately be demonstrated across real-world European use cases, including e-buses, logistics fleets, car-sharing and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) scenarios.
We are proud to contribute our expertise alongside our European partners to help build a more secure, resilient and trusted e-mobility ecosystem — and support Europe’s ambition for safe and sustainable zero-emission mobility.
